When young May blows out the candles on her birthday cake one candle is left lit and in the next shot all candles are out.

When May is walking home from talking to Polly at the Animal Hospital, she is wearing her blue dress. However, in the elevator, she has a white sweater.

The blood smeared on May's chin changes between shots.

When May and Adam are having lunch on the bench and May begins her "gross story" Adam alternates between having both hands in front of him and having one hand on the back of the bench next to May.

When the camera shows a close up of May sewing the red blouse, the presser foot of the sewing machine is in the 'up' position. When using a sewing machine, the presser foot must be in the 'down' position to control the movement of the fabric and the consistency of the stitches.

Several times when sewing clothing there is no spool of thread on the spindle, nor is there any running down to the needle.

Young May's bad eye seems to be on the left. Adult May's bad eye is on the right. May has amblyopia or "lazy eye." Although it appears that her "bad" eye changes from the left one as a child to the right one as an adult, amblyopia is treated by putting a patch over the good eye. Because her left eye has the patch over it when she is a child, May's good eye is always on the left.

When May takes a cigarette out of the Bilson box, a camel cigarette logo can be seen along the bottom part of the cigarette.

Just before Petey falls to the floor to find the doll, you can see blood on her legs and arms before she hits the floor and cuts herself the glass.

Camera man reflected in May's glasses for half a second when she looks up at the boy on the bench after he says "trying to be friendly, sorry".
