This is Tamil actor Madhavan's Hindi debut film.
In the scene where Maddy is shown eating chicken, he being a vegetarian ate paneer disguised as chicken instead.
The producer introduced second Audio Cassettes with the original one, which contained 4 title tracks. As a promotion strategy, the TV audience were given chance to select any of them to be added in the film and win big prizes for guessing the right one. Later, as film became hit among young audience, all four songs were included in film along with original songs.
