Great movie for the entire family. This movie shows how The Lord God uses his servants. I encourage everyone to see this movie. I am thankful there are some of movies produced by Hollywood that have great family values and valued for the Church and this is one of them.

This particular Christian movie is most definitely not the work product of the evangelical film industry although that is its subject. It gets the full blown A treatment in production value including some great location work in India, some of the most remote parts of it where our story is primarily located.
It is a confirmed truth and not just in a religious view that no one knows the extent of influence one has in one's life. That is for good or for evil. In this case Richard Lineback came to British India as a missionary, quite alone and going into a remote area to evangelize a tribe out there, most hostile to any authority let alone outsiders like the British. He does his thing and leaves for reasons I won't go into.
The film is the story of the work he did, to use the evangelical expression the seeds he planted. The son of a disciple visits him decades later where he's now living suffering the infirmities of old age. Now played by Jon Lormer he listens to the mission that Alberto Isaac is on and what has brought him to Toronto where he now lives.
Beyond The Next Mountain is a good film with an invaluable lesson to teach whether one takes in the religious message it is wrapped in or not.
