Experienced filmmaker Penelope Spheeris was on set for the making of 'Blood Dolls' and made a frank and open documentary (with the approval of Charles Band) about the making of the film. This includes Phil Fondacaro admitting that Band has not always paid him on time; some of the girl band from the film admitting that they have a top lawyer to make sure they get paid and so on (I imagine this is why the band never surfaced outside of the film as was initially the idea - though some of the band sing solo now). Deborah Dion (or Band, Charles Band's then wife) talks about Charles' interest in freaky sex and little dolls...hmmmmm...Various cast and crew feature and it's a revealing slice of low budget film creation. The only version of 'Hollywierd' is an extra on the USA release of 'Blood Dolls' and lasts only a few revealing minutes. Spheeris' full documentary seems to have never been completed which is a true shame.
