The film started filming around 1996 and was nearly complete around 1998. With Puru Rajkumar taking a break from films due to his father's death, some portions and songs were yet to be filmed. The film finished the final principal photography in 2000 when Puru resumed films. But due to distributors not buying the film, the film finally released in 2001.
Akshaye Khanna was signed for the film but later opted out. The song he shot for was later used by Pahlaj Nihalani in the movie " Bhai Bhai". This angered Akshaye Khanna.
Same storyline as Yeh Vaada Raha .
Vivek Mushran dubbed for both his character and Puru Rajkumar's character.
Raveena Tandon was signed for the film but later replaced by Deepti Bhatnagar. This didn't suit well with Vinod Khanna, Vinod felt Deepti looked to old for Akshaye Khanna. He requested Akshaye to leave the film.
