The Korean pop hit "Gangnam Style" has become a viral smash and brought a lot of attention to Psy, the singer of the dance hit ditty.

But only time will tell whether Psy can put together a string of other hits like Elvis, The Beatles or Rihanna -- or whether he becomes the latest musician to be tagged with the label "one-hit wonder."

Pop culture historian Brent Mann admitted he's no psychic, but bet that Psy will soon join Los Del Rio, Kyu Sakamoto and the Baja Men on the list of great one-hit wonders.

"It's pretty fascinating, but that's precisely what this is," Mann, author of the 2003 book "99 Red Balloons And 100 Other All-Time Great One-Hit Wonders," told The Huffington Post.

Even if Psy never has another hit, his song is sure to be remembered in the future -- especially on Sept. 25, semi-officially celebrated as "National One-Hit Wonder Day" by music fans across America.

The second season hurdle is always difficult for any show that does as phenomenally well in its debut as Glee did, and with the addition of new characters, and the promise of some established background figures like Mike Chang and Brittany getting more primary story lines, it seemed from the outset that the show makers had grand plans to shake things up.

The show is popular because at its heart, Glee is a modern meshing of High School Musical and Grease, with grander musical numbers based on musical theatre arrangements and irresistible reimaginings of classic and current pop songs. It has the same gleeful spirit as both of those reference points, with the added ingenious hook of the songs from the show being made available to buy and thus able to chart. Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Ashley Fink’s screen time will be drastically reduced following the Sept. 20 season premiere, which finds her recurring (and somewhat polarizing) character, Lauren Zizes, abruptly [Major Spoiler Alert] quitting New Directions and breaking up with her steady beau Puck (Mark Saling), who spent much of Season 2 wooing the demanding, plus-sized tough girl.

HollywoodNews.com: Has it not been terrific to see the character of Lauren (played so wonderfully by Ashley Fink) be so aggressively pursued by the studly Puck (Mark Salling) on recent episodes of ‘Glee’?

To have an overweight high school student be so full of confidence is a great message to send and, I’m sure, a great help to those young viewers struggling with their weight.

Brandon Voss has chatted with Ashley for ‘The Advocate’ and as I read it, I realized that I had met Ashley and chatted with her a bit at the Outfest screening of Ash Christian’s movie ‘Fat Girls.’

It’s nice to see that she has gotten this breakthrough role on one of the hottest television shows ever.

She tells Brandon about her connections to gays: “Growing up “other” in any way, whether it be gay, chubby, or whatever, you have to fight.

Rosie O’Donnell is expressing her displeasure over the casting of the plus size character Lauren, played by Ashley Fink, on “Glee”.

“I have to believe that ['Glee' co-creators] Ryan [Murphy] and Brad [Falchuk] have something up their sleeve and that [Lauren] can really sing because ‘I Know What Boys Like’ was not what I was expecting,” O’Donnell said about Tuesday night’s episode. “I was expecting a whole Shrek-like reveal where [Puck ] becomes Fiona-ish.”

O’Donnell goes on to say she has heard numerous women express their displeasure with the story line, finding it unrealistic that a character such as Puck would fall for the over-weight character. ”‘[Her] character is so unlikable. Why didn’t they get a pretty heavy girl? They should’ve gotten someone beautiful like [actress] Brooke Elliot.”

After a pretty bangarang week at McKinley High, we got something that felt way too much like deja vu. Hasn't Sue already wriggled her way into the Glee club to screw everything up? Haven't we already seen Mercedes and Rachel try to one up one another? And how many times will Schuester require the group to sing some type of theme and not actually give them specific requirements? Seriously, Schuester, I don't care how many kids currently listen to Justin Bieber, none of his songs are even loosely defined as anthems. Well, of his songs that I'm aware of, anyway; that Canadian toddler could have gobs of anthems making up the rest of his tracks, but I wouldn't have any clue.

I suppose that's the problem with episodes of "Glee" at this point, just a season and a half in. When it started, the show felt like a satire of...

Glee becomes harder to write about with every episode. The problem, surprisingly, isn’t the elements which drive me batshit or its flailing inconsistency of character, it’s that I’m not entirely clear on what made me care about the show in the first place anymore. I assume it was fun, funny, fresh and some other “f” word that means something good. I seem to remember a shrewdness to its dark humor and “did they just say that?” lines which didn’t make me roll my eyes.

The show has become a rather ungainly beast, one which appears rudderless and adrift in the middle of its sophomore season. Among those elements which have lost their focus: Will’s personality, Sue’s Sue-ness, Rachel’s likeability, thematic appropriateness of the musical numbers and any interest in developing Mercedes or Tina, who have been around since the beginning (I’ve given...

This week brought Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Lauren (Ashley Fink) to the forefront and included a Sue Sylvester-led group number. We liked the Bieber tunes (almost despite ourselves), but the rest left us a bit underwhelmed.

Last night’s Glee wasn’t about to let a little thing like plot come between itself and the popular Twitter trending topic Justin Bieber. Sue tried to destroy New Directions from within (while discovering her own squishy inner core), Rachel tried to become socially relevant (while launching Brittany to the title of Trendiest Girl in America), and Sam refashioned himself in The Bieb’s image (while trying to kick his unfortunate Na’vi habit).

Unfortunately, Sue’s was the least successful of the three story arcs. Maybe I just can’t find the humor in our favorite crazy cheerleading...

Next Tuesday, February 15, "Glee" will see Puck, Artie and Mike join forces with Sam in a tribute boyband. How they come together as a group in the first place? A one-minute clip from the upcoming episode has popped out and unraveled that the three boys are the ones who are actually asking Sam to form the band after realizing "the power of the Biebs".

In addition to the clip, another sneak peek has come in the form of a teaser. In the footage, Chord Overstreet and Harry Shum Jr. explain about their new-formed band and the Justin Bieber's influence. Glimpses of the boys performing the teen heartthrob's single "Somebody to Love" are also included.

This particular episode is titled "Comeback". Rachel tries to launch a comeback into the McKinley High social stratosphere with a little help from Brittany, and Sam is attempting to win Quinn back. Meanwhile, Sue will...

Next week on "Comeback", "Glee" will cover various songs from the recent "Baby" by Justin Bieber and "Sing" by My Chemical Romance to older track like "Take Me or Leave Me" from rock opera "Rent". Ahead of the February 15 airing, some of the remixed songs featured in the episode have hit the web.

Chord Overstreet plays his take on "Baby" - the Sam Evans depicter starts a tribute band in the upcoming episode and plays a rendition of the tween hit single in the music room. The New Direction gang team up for "Sing" collaboration, and Lea Michele's Rachel Berry revamps the "Rent" song.

Ashley Fink, who guest stars as the New Direction newest member, will tackle The Waitresses' "I Know What Boys Like". Overstreet will once again cover Bieber's song "Somebody to Love", this time around joining forces with Kevin McHale's Artie Abrams.

We'll ignore the curious bit of synchronicity surrounding the release of Justin Bieber's documentary/biopic/concert movie today and 'Glee's' Bieber episode on Tuesday because Omg! 'Glee' and the Biebs! Together!

'Glee' released the full versions of the songs from next week's non-Justin Bieber-themed episode, 'Comeback.' According to the official synopsis, "Rachel tries to launch a comeback into the McKinley High social stratosphere with a little help from Brittany. Meanwhile, Sam starts a tribute band." Naturally, that involves purple Bieber hoodies for the dudes and Berry-tastic makeovers for the ladies.

Like a cross between RuPaul and Kraftwerk, German electro-pop diva Torsten Kretchzmar puts a discofied gender twist on the old Waitresses’ hit with his “I Know What Girls Like.” Like Kraftwerk, Kretchzmar does his best to obscure his identity mostly with a creepy special effect that puts his singing lips on hairdresser practice mannequins. Yes, he knows what girls like and they’ll either be completely horrified by his ice cold persona or they’ll be romantically intrigued by this man of mystery. We’re guessing the latter.

As a huge fan of the original song and video, “I Know What Boys Like,” especially of singer Patty Donahue’s inability to lip sync and ubiquitous cigarette — sadly, of course, she died young of lung cancer — I never thought in a million years that anybody could top it. But, here we have Kretchzmar with an impossibly catchy remake featuring music by Men of Sport.

The Jennifer’s Body soundtrack. If some laboratory boffin types were to put their egg-shaped noggins together and come up with the precise scientific formula for a successful teen movie then their working model might just look something like the forthcoming Jennifer’s Body. Because the cocktail of elements on show in the new offering from the writer/director team-up of Juno scripter Diablo Cody and Girlfight lenser Karyn Kusama seems carefully calculated to seduce as much adolescent audience coin as possible - their film promising spooky diabolism, darkly comic high school satire, a smattering of gore, a dash of rock ’n’ roll, a hot actress (Amanda Seyfried) donning specs in a bid to pass off as an empathetically geeky point of audience identification, and pin-up du jour Megan Fox going for a spot of skinny-dipping. Yet when it comes to the soundtrack, the commercial leanings of Jennifer’s Body...

Port showed alongside Nicholas K and Mara Hoffman for a group presentation of their spring lines. Not to spoil anything, but there might have been a "City" co-star or two in the house. The show was on a fashionably late schedule, starting nearly 40 minutes late. After the Nicholas K collection, Port's designs made their debut.

Even if you don’t watch the show, all it takes is a general awareness of pop culture to know that the eighth season of the hit TV series “American Idol” comes to a close this week. Finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen sang their parting shots last night, leading into tonight’s results show in which the votes are tallied and the winner, announced.

Of course, neither Lambert nor Allen will be free after the credits roll tomorrow night. There’s the usual post-season tour to think about of course, and the inevitable recording deals.
