I enjoyed combat missions a lot. There are high quality people doing intesive action packed missions with guns and explosives. They work as 6 members teams at first and then divide as the game continues so there will be only 1 man to win after several episodes. Recommended to people who like action and guns.

From Mark Burnett of Eco Challenge and Survivor comes this reality based show of professionally trained former military special forces and police SWAT personnel who compete in (like the shows title says) "Combat Missions" The show has an appeal to it but unlike Burnetts other big hit Survivor it may have a hard time clicking with everyone. The individuals who compete as members of the four teams know their business and are no nonsense professionals unlike the sometimes-hapless people who make up the sixteen-castaways/stranded gangs in Survivor. For the most part viewers of reality shows like a combination of drama and comedy and it's hard to imagine that there will be much comedy in this series. Former Survivor and retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer BMCM Rudy Boesch is the Commanding Officer of the Camp known as Camp Windstorm. He has been given the simulated rank (which reminded me of the film Bridge on the River Kwai when William Holdens character was given the simulated rank of Major) of Colonel. The teams compete in various missions and of course one of them has to lose. Upon losing the team must discharge one of their number. With a unique twist to the game if they refuse to vote out a team member they draw Officer swords in which one has a red tip. The unlucky warrior who draws the red tipped sword is given his DD 214 and mustered out. The team then selects a new member from a dossier of qualified candidates to join their ranks. This also adds a new twist. By the end of the series the teams may in fact personnel wise look nothing like they did when they started. Bottom line if one is a fan of military films, firearms etc then they'll enjoy this show if they aren't then they won't.
Showed the Military in the worst it could, ripped off many special warfare operators who set aside a month to do the show, as much money as he made off this and survivor as he did, and as much as Burnett claims to love the military, he could have at LEAST given the players a couple grand each, not to mention he had us second unit guys doing stunts for 200 dollars a day, and, he used my name without my permission (I challenge him to show me a consent form with my name on it and my signature, anyway, like I said, he used my real name on two episodes "Joe Baker" downed pilot and refused to even give me a credit, burnett is all about himself and the money. If you like this show, stop and think about these things. I was just getting into acting when I got boondoggled into doing this show. One guy, (Pfingsten) was almost killed by getting run over by a military truck, if the driver would have popped the clutch, he would have been severely injured, Burnett knew he might be sued, so he gave pfingston the red carpet treatment and made the rest of sign papers saying we would not sue if hurt on the show. I signed them, but put "under duress" I wouldn't give one of his productions my time ever again, he doesn't deserve the US Military's best. Joey Baker, Former SEAL, worked on this production. Oh, I forgot to mention they tried to sue one of the Contestants also because of something he said, not sure what exactly, but I do know who and know him well, I believe the SEAL community got behind this SEAL and basically made Burnett stand down.
Great show, this show gave a different view on team work and I really enjoyed watching the show for the time it was available. I like the way the show was presented and wish it was still available where I could see it, but I have not seen anything on it in a long time. I would much rather see something like this than people eating animal parts and such!!
I really thought this would make a great weekly show and kept waiting to see if more were available. Maybe it will come back.
T J Myers was great in the show and I think it was a great part for her, being she had played the part in real life. Way to go to all involved - I miss the show!!! Maybe someone will come up with something like this again.
