As a past director of a short film festival, I was very excited about screening this production. This is real Indy film-making at its most passionate, distilling the creative elements down to the most basic and effective, producing a beautiful dreamy look, clever dialog and superb direction for this simple adaptation of one of our best story tellers of all time, O. Henry! In "By Courier", a seasoned actor breaks out to direct his own version of someone else's tale, using his sensitive acting talents to coax the most important cinematic elements to visually float through time for the viewer. I wish the director would quite acting long enough to find a directing project he likes. I know it would be superb!! Traveller

I'm not sure where IMDb comes up with a rating of 4 on an Oscar NOMINATED film that has a "mathematical mean" of 7...
This is now on the King Of The Corner DVD as an "extra" (as of 10-28-05).
This short film is excellent! The writing is tremendous and the acting superb.
Peter Riegert and company have done a wonderful job of adapting this O' Henry classic - comedic misdirection's and all.
Great job!
Please, Riegert, make more films!!
