Fox has released a new teaser for this Monday’s Season 3 premiere of “Gotham,” and it looks like Fish Mooney and Oswald Cobblepot — a.k.a. The Penguin — are about to go to war with each other on the streets of Gotham City. Last season ended with Mooney being resurrected by Dr. Hugo Strange after she was killed by Cobblepot. Armed with new mind control powers, she broke out of Arkham Asylum with a bus full of mutated inmates. After revealing her return to life to Cobblepot, Mooney escaped into the city while the mutants broke out of the bus.

“Gotham,” the Fox/DC “Batman” prequel created by Bruno Heller, took a decidedly darker and more daring turn in Season 2. And cinematographer Crescenzo Notarile was rewarded with an Emmy nomination for elevating the “Azrael” episode, starring B.D. Wong as Dr. Hugo Strange.
That’s because in bringing Galavan [James Frain] back from the dead as Azrael, “we got darker and had more fun,” said Notarile. Azrael then becomes a monstrous instrument to prevent vigilante ex-cop James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) from stopping Strange. He has an opportunity to redeem himself in trying to take down Strange, who was responsible for the murder of the parents of Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), and has turned Arkham Asylum into a Frankenstein-like power trip to control Gotham.
The way Notarile shot Azrael was the antithesis of the kitschy look he gave Galavan. And because the dramatic stakes were raised in “Azrael,” Notarile could take more stylistic freedom.

Even though Suicide Squad is less than a month away now, we’ve still got no idea who Scott Eastwood and Ike Barinholtz are playing. Sure, there have been plenty of rumors floating around the internet, but we’ve got nothing concrete as of yet.
One popular fan theory has Eastwood as Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, while another one believes he’ll be playing Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. Barinholtz, meanwhile, has been rumored for the part of Dr. Hugo Strange, though that theory was more or less debunked several months ago.
Warner Bros. still hasn’t let the cat out of the bag on who these two actors will be showing up as, but DCMovies.com believes that they know the answer. And unfortunately, fans are going to be quite disappointed, as neither Eastwood or Barinholtz seem to be portraying anyone significant.

After two seasons of Gotham, haven't the fine citizens of Gotham City learned you should never—ever—underestimate Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith)? In the below sneak peek, Dr. Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) learns that the hard way. Fish Mooney is back from the dead thanks to Dr. Strange, but she quickly proves she's not under anybody's thumb, even the man who brought her back. And it looks like she came back with some other talents, including psychic control. "You're marvelous. Yes, truly marvelous," Dr. Strange says. "Always was," she says. Something tells us she gets out of Arkham. In the season finale, "Wrath of the Villains:...

Another Monday brings another awesome installment of Gotham Stories. The latest episode, which is titled “Can Gordon and Bullock Help Penguin?,” could very well be the most important viewing of these motion comics to date.
Featuring the voice talents of Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle/Cat), Nathan Darrow (Victor Fries), Ben McKenzie (Jim Gordon) and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), this is the fourth of five motion comics intending to bridge the gap between the first half of Gotham’s second season, “Rise of the Villains,” and its second half, “Wrath of the Villains.”
As fans of the TV series are well aware, Jim Gordon and Oswald Cobblepot have had a storied friendship. Or would “shaky alliance” be a more apt description? Either way you slice it, it would seem their relationship has now concluded as Gordon has no choice but to slap a pair of...

Billy Wilder’s Buddy Buddy (1981) might be one of the most obvious go-to examples in the annals of conventional wisdom when it comes to the cinephile’s parlor game of pointing out a great director’s greatest foible. Upon release the movie was summarily dismissed by critics and ignored by audiences—it managed a paltry $7 million domestically, three million less than its production budget.
Roger Ebert, in his review, called Buddy Buddy “a comedy without laughs,” one apparently so vile that it could inspire not only audience indifference but also one of the revered reviewer’s laziest pieces of criticism. Ebert’s short piece quickly degenerates into name-calling-- “This movie is appalling” is the first sentence of the review, and the movie’s name goes unmentioned until the second paragraph—sans much in the way of actual insight. And unfortunately the critic’s disdain ends up functioning as a substitute...

Jurassic World actor Bd Wong is set to make his debut as sinister psychiatrist Dr. Hugo Strange when Gotham returns to television at the end of the month, and now we have our first official glimpse at this small-screen take on the classic Batman baddie.
Wong has previously teased several different looks for the character via a recent Instagram post, but it seems that they decided to go as close to the comic book incarnation of Strange as possible. And judging by the photo above, it appears to have been the right decision.
Strange will be in charge of some very shady experiments in Arkham Asylum, supposedly in an effort to produce a new breed of supervillian, and in a recent interview with TV Insider, Wong said the following about it:

Here's your first look at Bd Wong as Dr. Hugo Strange, who will be conducting some very sinister experiments in Arkham Asylum when Gotham returns to our screens. “What [he] is doing in there is indeed very, very bad,” Wong reveals to TV Insider. “Imagine the worst thing someone might do. Then multiply that by 10.” That doesn't bode very well for the Penguin, who will wind up the newest inmate of the notorious asylum, and apparently “is never the same from the moment he walks through the door.” What do you think of Wong's take on Strange? That chin-strap is certainly terrifying anyway. Gotham returns Monday, Feb.29, at 8/7c on Fox.

TVInsider brings us the first look (above) at Jurassic Park and Jurassic World star B.D. Wong as Batman villain Dr. Hugo Strange from Fox's Gotham.

Now comes our first look at Dr. Hugo Strange, the mastermind behind Arkham Asylum. Wong tells the site:
“What [he] is doing in there is indeed very, very bad,” teases Wong. “Imagine the worst thing someone might do. Then multiply that by 10.”
That seems like ludicrous hyperbole to me. The worst thing someone might do and multiply it by 10? That level of violence and depravity isn't even possible to depict on network television, so I think Wong...

For years, gentle TV viewers knew Bd Wong as the warm and empathetic Dr. George Huang from Law & Order: Svu. Now Wong will upend those model-minority notions in a recurring role as evil Arkham psychiatrist Dr. Hugo Strange, a part that requires him to sport a glue-on beard that is giving us shivers of Antm Cycle 21 face-merkin realness. When Gotham returns February 29, he'll cross paths with Penguin, who will be one of his latest patients. This is another potentially delicious part for Wong, who stole the scene in less than four minutes last summer as the mysterious hacker White Rose in Mr. Robot.

Today, TV Insider has posted a first look at Wong in his final costume. Fox's "Gotham" has seen numerous characters meet their apparent demise, especially in this second season so far which has been a bit of a bloodbath. Now, the show's leading man Ben McKenzie says that despite all this death almost no character is off the table and could well make a return at some point.

He explained:

We still don’t know which DC characters several of the supporting Suicide Squad cast members will be playing in the movie, but from what Neighbors actor Ike Barinholtz told Buzzfeed in a recent interview, whoever he’s portraying will not be a very nice fella.
Soon after Barinholtz’s casting was announced, the rumor doing the rounds was that he’d actually be playing one of Batman’s earliest baddies, Dr. Hugo Strange, but that seemed to be debunked when his character was spotted in the first trailer in a prison guard uniform.
Still, speculation has run wild because of the actor’s secrecy surrounding the role, and fans are convinced he’s playing an established DC Comics villain.
I have David Ayer in my head being like, ‘I’m going to kill you if you say anything,” said Barinholtz. “I can say it’s probably not who you think it is.

The ending of "Worse Than a Crime" teases not one, but two new villains. You may get giddy at our first look at Mr. Freeze, or the very mention of Dr. Hugo Strange. It's more than understandable: this kind of fan service can be powerfully flattering stuff. You might even forget how tacky the last episode was. But don't worry, that's why we're here.Tonight's mid-season finale has very little of last week's fitful inspiration. Even the all-out brawl between Brother Creel's evil monks and Penguin's gun-toting hoods feels rushed and uninspired. It's dopey to see Creel launch into mid-air, then be dispatched by Harvey Bullock. But it could have been dopey and fun if Bullock's one-liner — "That was a lot of stairs" — wasn't such a dud. The scene reminds me of Tabitha Galavan's admonishment to brother Theo at the beginning of the episode: "Yes, it's all yours. Smile,...

If there.s one thing that separates Suicide Squad from other superhero films, it's that it (ironically) mostly stars supervillains. This movie is chock full of villainy, from the team members themselves to the antagonist the villains are rumored to face off against. If the lineup already announced isn.t bad to the bone enough for you, evidently the 2016 blockbuster isn.t done including evildoers. Now it.s being reported that Suicide Squad will be payed a house call by Batman villain Dr. Hugo Strange. Two further potential villains from the Batman comics are set to show their faces on the upcoming first season of Fox's "Gotham".
First up, show runner Bruno Heller says Dr. Hugo Strange will be making an appearance in the first season and will be tied to the creation of Arkham Asylum:
"Hugo Strange is going to pop up because we're going to start dealing with how Arkham was created and why Arkham was created in the way that it was so, yeah, absolutely. The revolving door of Arkham is both a brilliant narrative device because it allows you to - you don't have to kill people off, you can just put them...

Now the festival is getting ready for the 2012 edition and today they announced the jury members for this year’s Festival. They include Shari Berman, Scott Burns, Charles Ferguson, Nick Fraser, Mike Judge, Justin Lin, Anthony Mackie, Cliff Martinez, Julia Ormond, Dee Rees and Lynn Shelton.
