After their first year in college, four friends from high school—Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs), Chris "Oz" Ostreicher (Chris Klein), Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Kevin Myers (Thomas Ian Nicholas) along with their oversexed buddy Steve Stifler (Seann William Scott)—decide to rent a lake house in Grand Harbor, Michigan, for a "summer of love."
American Pie 2 is the second movie in the American Pie series, preceded by American Pie (1999) and followed by American Wedding (2003), and American Reunion (2012). Created by American screenwriter Adam Herz, who based it on his own high school experiences in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, the screenplay for American Pie 2 was written by Herz and American screenwriter David H. Steinberg.
Altogether, 20. Besides the Fab Five—Jim, Oz, Finch, Kevin, and the Stifmeister—Jim's "cool" Dad (Eugene Levy) and Mom (Molly Cheek) are back, along with Jim's band geek friend Michelle Flaherty (Alyson Hannigan), Kevin's girlfriend Vicky Lathum (Tara Reid), Jim's Czechoslovakian girlfriend Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth), and Oz's girlfriend Heather (Mena Suvari). Also back in minor roles are Vicky's friend Jessica (Natasha Lyonne), Chuck "the Sherminator" Sherman (Chris Owen), Stifler's little brother Matt (Eli Marienthal), Kevin's big brother Tom (Casey Affleck), Stifler's Mom (), John (John Cho), Justin (Justin Isfeld), The Monkey Guy (Daniel Spink), and the Monkey.
It's called "Fat Lip" by Sum 41. For the rest of the songs and their corresponding scenes try here.
At the end of the summer party, Heather surprises Oz by coming home early, and they renew their relationship in person. Kevin and Vicky come to terms with their broken relationship but continue on as friends. Jim interrupts Michell's flute solo with his trombone to tell her that he is really in love with her. Rejected by Jim, Nadia hooks with the geeky Sherminator. Matt makes friends with the two lesbians, Danielle (Denise Faye) and Amber (Lisa Arturo), who turn out not to be lesbians at all and wind up sleeping with Steve. The next morning, as the boys prepare to vacate the lake house and return to East Great Falls, a black car drives up. Finch checks it out and finds Stifler's Mom inside. He asks her name (Jeanine), and she asks whether he'd like to get it on. They drive off together. In the last scene, the car can be seen shaking away, and Jeanine is heard telling Finch to call her, "Stifler's Mom."
The unrated cut of the movie is 6 minutes longer than the theatrical cut. The additional material contains minor scene extensions, things that were removed in terms of pacing. The biggest addition is there's some longer shots of the two female lovers. There's also some extra material in Stifler's party, a longer scene with Jim and Mr. Levinstein in the hospital waiting room and a quick extra bit at the end of the band camp scene.
