Editor Rudolf Schaad had to shorten the originally 88-minute film down to around an hour. Numerous nature photos (water, pond and bee scenes) fell victim to the scissors.
The film entitled 'Hans macht sein Glück' was also released on DVD (2006) with a length of 25 minutes.
