The film was slightly delayed. It was one of the first films Shatrughan signed as a hero. He knew it would flop due to the small budget. But he needed to show the industry he was serious about leaving villain roles and being a hero. He needed as many hero roles as he could get
The film was titled "Dhuaan" when it was launched.
