Mrs Spoon gives Mr Spoon a very special present. It's a spaceship. Now Mr Spoon can fly across blanket sky to visit Button Moon. Mr Spoon looks through his telescope and watches the classic tale of the three little pigs unfold.
Mr Spoon goes to Button Moon to go fishing in Buttonhole Pond. He watches all the different types of fish and creatures that live there. Through the telescope he sees Sid, whose naughty pet cat Mabel, keeps waking the baby up.
On Button Moon, Captain Large orders the bottle army to build him a castle made out of pipes. Later, through his telescope, Mr Spoon sees Gertie and her husband Bertie who have been given three wishes by a fairy called Mary.
Mr Spoon flies to Button Moon and meets Captain Large inspecting the bottle army. Small bottle is upset because he has lost his label so Mr Spoon helps him look for it. The telescope shows Brew the witch using magic to make toast.
Mr Spoon flies his spaceship from his home on Junk Planet to Button Moon. Through his telescope he watches as a billy goat is having terrible trouble with a Troll that lives under a bridge that the goat wants to cross.
Mr Spoon travels to Button Moon, seeing a flock of strange birds on the way. On the moon he meets a sponge and an old brush who have been cleaning up. Through the telescope he sees two American Indians and their magic totem pole.
When Mr Spoon arrives on Button Moon he finds a problem. A pair of scissors has cut a thread holding the moon in blanket sky. Through his telescope he watches Scruffy and Basil, two dogs playing 'hunt the bone'.
Mrs Spoon and Tina travel to Button Moon for the first time. Once there the Spoon family go to watch the Paper Circus perform. Later, they look through the telescope and see Scruffy the dog sadly say goodbye to his friend Basil.
Mr Spoon flies off to Button Moon and sees Captain Large in his new castle. Mr Spoon watches Sergeant Bangor and his army of sausages exercising. Then he watches the classic story of the ants and the grasshopper via his telescope.
