This film was a long time believed lost. A copy was found in a Moscow film archive in 2004.
A print of this film, long believed lost, was found by German film archivists in Russia in July 2004. This was originally advertised as Laurel and Hardy's first German movie with sound, and it was a big success, with jokes written specifically for a German audience. The Munich Film Museum will restore the film for screening and a future DVD release. It will be shown at the Bonn Silent Film Festival on August 14, 2004.
