This movie is a court room drama with a nice twist in the middle but very boring screenplay and equally boring climax.
Story: A business man(shekhar Kapoor) falls off a building and his mistress is arrested for his murder.
The court room drama in the first half is to prove whether it was a suicide or murder. The screenplay is too slow and you will keep looking at your watch.
Then comes a twist and plot shifts to a whodunit murder mystery. You expect the movie to bring some surprises but nothing as such happens. Even the culprit is revealed in the last 5 mins and it is not at all shocking. The culprit is not revealed by any investigator but the person confesses automatically. It doesn't have any surprise or shock value.
None of the actors looked interested. Songs are boring. I watched this movie after recommendation from a youtuber sahil Chandel (Palat tera dhyan kidhar hai).
The way I have narrated the story, you may get tempted to watch but the movie is really boring and slow.
Please avoid it at all the cost.

Gawaahi review :
An unconventional courtroom drama inspired from The Night of January 16th by Ayn Rand; Gawaahi was Anant Balani's directorial debut featuring Zeenat Aman, Shekhar Kapur and Ranjeeta Kaur in lead roles. Director Ashutosh Gowariker also appears in a small but pivotal role.
Touted as Zeenat's comeback after a brief hiatus in the '80s, the film didnt benefit her as it flopped at the box office. Having said that, Gawaahi is a highly engaging crime drama with great performance from Zeenat. Her chemistry with Shekhar Kapur was absolutely sizzling and their soft romance to the Pankaj Udhas number "Dekh ke tumko kya hota hai; kuch na bataayenge" is truly scintillating. Zeenat's fans shouldn't miss it for sure.
Unfortunately, Gawaahi is not available online except for a bad abridged print on YouTube. I sincerely request the producers to give this underrated gem an OTT release for Hindi movie buffs who dont know about it. A film ahead of its time which deserves a watch today!!
