An extended sex scene takes place in barracks while people are sleeping around the couple; the couple kiss and put their hands down each other's pants, then the man thrusts on top of the woman (the woman's bare buttocks are shown briefly).

A large amount of Russian soldiers charge at the Germans. The majority of them are shot and killed, and when the survivors retreat they are shot by their own comrades. Their corpses are later shot at by German soldiers.

When the Russians cross the river, they are bombed by the Germans. Gruesome body parts and severed limbs are visible in the water. Several soldiers try to escape, and are brutally and graphically shot by their commander.
