Wong Jing said he attended the Golden Horse Awards one year and went to a small party at a karaoke bar. When people realized he was there, all the upcoming actresses in Taiwan came to the party. Forty to fifty attractive women were there to try and impress him. That's where he met Kelly Lin, who he ended up casting in this film.
