Actress turned director cranked out plenty of clunkers in the '80s, but WILD NURSES IN LUST is an above-average video. Fans of its talented cast won't be disappointed.
Feature mildly mocks daytime soaps of the GENERAL HOSPITAL vein. Directors Carlos Tobalina and Peter Balakoff play doctors and cute Kim Carson and Bunny Bleu head the roster of nurses. There's also plenty of action at a boardinghouse lorded over by Helga Sven, who even sings a Barry Manilow song at one point (don't ask why).
Hammiest performer is Jerry Butler, who does some cross-dressing and ad libs way too often (Drea is not the kind of director who can sit on such a loose cannon). Worst performance is by Piro Leena, an actress who I couldn't identify and has trouble reading her lines (flat as can be). There's another girl credited as June Bug who resembles Lily Tomlin (!), who recites the unfunny p.a. announcements concocted by a team of four scriptwriters.
