First movie collaboration between Christian De Sica and the brothers Carlo and Enrico Vanzina.
During filming, director Carlo Vanzina felt from the camera car and broke his arm. His father Steno, a famous director himself, replaced him for some scenes. This was told in a later interview by screenwriter Enrico Vanzina, Carlo's brother and Steno's son.
