Even though Ninja Captor is not officially part of Super Sentai anymore, it has several firsts and similarities:
- Has seven team members. Red, Green, Yellow, Brown, Pink, Blue, Orange
- Has an Orange Ranger. But the first official Orange Ranger is Battle Cossack from Battle Fever J (1979)
- Has a Brown Ranger. A fake ShinkenBrown appears in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (2009)
- Has a ninja motif like Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (1994) and Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (2002)
Two of the team's members went on to portray real Rangers of Super Sentai: Daisuke Ban played Makoto Jin/Battle Cossack from Battle Fever J and Sanpei Godai played Futoshi Kijima/Goggle Yellow from Dai Sentai Goggle Five.
