At the time of filming, the leads Jana Brejchová and Vlastimil Brodský had been married for 10 years, just like in the film.
The scene with the reenactment of the couple's acquaintance on the anniversary of the event also appeared in the anthology film Pet z milionu (1959), also with Vlastimil Brodský as one of the event's participants.
A sequel was considered, but it never got produced.
