Carlo Verdone stated in an interview that the scene where real estate agent Armando Feroci (Carlo Verdone) shows a crumbling apartment to his future wife Marcella (Ines Nobili) was really shot in a dilapidated building. To get a permission for filming, they had to promise that they would have shot the scene in few minutes: the actors played without the possibility of doing mistakes, while the building was noticeably creaking around them.
Carlo Verdone told that the final scene of Armando Feroci's speech to the citizens was one of the most difficult to shoot, because the temperature was 41°C and he had to change his wet clothes after every shooting.
'Gallo cedrone' (capercaillie) is the nickname Carlo Verdone received from his mother as a kid due to his hairstyle.
