I remember owning "Seiden RG Veda" on VHS tape back in the day. And I really enjoyed the Anime mini-series back then, so as I had the opportunity to sit down here in 2023 and watch "Seiden RG Veda" (aka "RG Veda") digitally, of course I needed no persuasion to do so.
The storyline in "Seiden RG Veda", as written by Nanase Ohkawa, is every bit as enjoyable and entertaining as I remembered it to be from back in the mid-1990s, watching it often on VHS. If you enjoy Anime and fantasy, then "Seiden RG Veda" is definitely well-worth checking out.
The art style in "Seiden RG Veda" is unique. Not that it is bad or anything, but there Clamp has a tendency of favoring very distinctive chins and jawlines. And some of the characters are really big in comparison to their heads. While it is not badly drawn art, it is not your average run-of-the-mill Anime style.
The animation in "Seiden RG Veda" is good, though. Nothing to complain about there.
I always felt cheated when the second episode ended. Because I would like to know what would happen to the heroes and in which directon the narrative would go.
My rating of "Seiden RG Veda" lands on a six out of ten stars.
