The Invisible Man declares that his name is "Antelope Cobbler". In Italy, in the seventies, in the Lockheed Affair, Antelope Cobbler was the name under which an important Italian politician hid. As a result of the Lockheed Affair the Italian President Leone resigned.
Dubbed into English in New York City in 1977.
Italian censorship commandeered the movie for years, equally because of "offense to public morality" and because of its anti-American and anti-imperialistic subtext.
