I watched many animated series as a child, and Rupert was one of them. Rupert also happened to be one of my favourites too for many reasons: - I loved how simple yet pleasant the animation style was. It all looks very clean and smooth, with convincing looking characters and lovely backgrounds, it's almost like looking at the pictures of a picture book.
- Like the animation, the music was simple, and never over-shadowed the dialogue and such. The intro is charming with an interesting style to the theme tune and gives you a very good impression of the sort of series you're about to watch, which is cute, charming entertainment really.
- The dialogue has its humorous spots, with the odd touching spot. And when I learnt something watching it, as a child and as a 19 year old adolescent revisiting it, it was never done in a patronising way.
- The story lines have plenty of charm to them. They move quickly, have a lot of cuteness about them and are also are quite creative.
- All the characters are engaging, especially Rupert. Bill Badger is a very nice contrast as well.
- Excellent voice acting across the board.
In conclusion, a great series and one I've always loved. 10/10 Bethany Cox
