One of the original "Ted's" is missing, presumed stolen.

- Henry and Henrietta - Mice
- Jack and Jill - Guinea Pigs
- Peppino and Peppina - Budgerigars
Many of the older props are on display at the Australia Museum, in Canberra A.C.T. Australia
Karen Pang, Matt Passmore and Sofya Gollan were the first presenters to appear in widescreen on Play School.
The programme was inducted into the TV Week Logies Hall of Fame in 2006. It is the third television program to be inducted. All the other inductees have been people.
