The film is a biography of Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky. In the Soviet Union, he was a great scientific. He's the perfect Soviet hero. He was from a poor family. He had scarlet fever that left him near deaf. He had to overcome deafness and poverty through hard work and education to become somebody. He became a school teacher. Later he became a self taught aeronautics engineer before there was even a word for it. This was before the airplane had been invented.
This is the kind of movie they don't make any more, and that is such a pity. It tries to teach virtues. OK, maybe it isn't violent or pornographic enough for the tastes of a jaded generation but that's because they have had their minds vacuumed out by Hollywood and Bollywood trash.
