The movie was highly controversial due to extensive full nudity scenes of teenage and preteen boys.
One of the film's stars, Peter Glawson, was photographed and published in gay mens' magazines in the 1970s. These shots are no longer available due to the dubious age at which Glawson pretended to be for the photo-shoots to be legal. Evidently they were taken when he was under the legal age, as was all the footage of "The Genesis Children."
