The film was originally produced by Viva Films and slated to be released in early 1989. Shooting lasted until June 1989, with Joey de Leon and Rene Requiestas alleging that Dawn Zulueta was causing delays in the final weeks of shooting due to prioritizing her other commitments. The film was eventually released by Regal Films on April 1991.
