A loose adaptation of the HP Lovecraft story "The Lurking Fear"
This was filmed on the small Canadian island of Grand Manan, a 90-minute ferry ride from the New Brunswick mainland, population approx. 2400.
The character "Byrde Gordon" is likely a reference to legendary B-movie writer/director Bert I. Gordon.
