There is a statement in the closing credits: "No animals were harmed during the making of this film. Although, some were erased and had to be redrawn."
There is a dedication in the closing credits to Gene Kelly, who served as a consultant on the musical numbers' choreography, and died during the film's production.
The film ends with a montage of posters featuring the animals in starring roles.
At the end of the montage, Darla Dimple - now working as a studio janitor - puts up a poster reading "THE END", which falls on top of her.
The opening credits appear as signs along Danny's bus ride from Kokomo to Hollywood.
