Last credit for James Garner's stand-in, assistant, bit part actor, and friend, Luis Delgado. Delgado died 24 March, 1997; 6 months 6 days after this film's premiere (18 September, 1996).

Goofs
It is clearly established in dialogue several times (as well as in a flashback sequence) that the character of Megan Dougherty was 15 in 1971. This would have made the character 22 years old -- yet somehow already a fully qualified Ph.D. psychiatrist with a long-established, thriving practice -- when she first appeared in the 1978 Rockford Files episode Black Mirror (1978).

Outstanding

This Rockford come back is the best of the eight. It plays like a motion picture with a beginning, a middle, and an ending. You don't need to have been a Rockford fan or to have seen an episode of the original series to enjoy this teleplay.
