FOURBI is an amazing film for one main reason: the incredibly different and surprising storyline. This is not a wonderful film narration like that of PARIS, TEXAS but a movie filled with different relationships and subplots that you simply don't know how they will end. There are the relationships of Rosamonde and Paul, Paul and Marie, a surprising one between Rosamonde and Marie, a main plot about Rosamonde's rape several years ago and the interest of a new TV channel on this and diverse subplots like the one about the guy who wants to "shoot" Rosamonde's boyfriend or the economic problems of the TV-channel. The problem is that there's no point to the story, no powerful and insightful character descriptions (like those, again, from PARIS TEXAS), the movie lacks of spirit what has of narration and besides the acting is very poor with few exceptions. Tanner is a good and very original storyteller but he's not perfect...7/10
