Prime Video has a fair amount in store for subscribers in November, as the uber-violent hit animated show Invincible returns for its highly anticipated second season. Based on the iconic comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, season two will find super-powered protagonist Mark attempting to rebuild his life after finding out the truth about his father Nolan.

Elsewhere on the streamer, the producing team behind the James Bond movies are out to spin the franchise in a completely different direction by debuting their curious new globe-trotting adventure series, pitched somewhere between a quiz show and a treasure hunt. 007: Road To A Million features Brian Cox as the game’s “mastermind”, watching over the contestants as they try to win a million quid.

Prime Video has no shortage of shows or movies arriving in September. The biggest new show on the block for Amazon Studios is “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” which is a prequel based on the work of J.R.R. Tolkien that’s set thousands of years before the events of “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings.” Several new 2022 films will be available on the streamer as well: including Channing Tatum’s “Dog,” Michael Bay’s “Ambulance,” Zac Efron’s “Firestarter,” Dylan O’Brien’s “The Outfit,” and more.

Noteworthy library titles arriving this month include “Fight Club” (1999), “Legally Blonde” (2001) and “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991).

With its list of new releases for September 2022, Prime Video is finally unveiling the most anticipated (and expensive) series in the streamer’s history.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will arrive to Prime Video’s servers on Sept. 2, 2022. This Lord of the Rings prequel, set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age, is in many ways the kind of TV property that Prime Video must have always wanted. It’s certainly the TV property most fitting with the company’s largesse and riches. The Rings of Power will cover the creation of the titular rings and many important events from Tolkien’s lore (condensed into a more TV-appropriate timeframe).

Big Block Entertainment Heathers The Musical, a television, film, live entertainment and design production company led by Scott Benson, Tony Award-winning producer Jamie Bendell A Gentleman's Guide to Love amp Murder and Tony Award-nominated producer Scott Prisand Rock of Ages, announced today they have optioned the play A Family Thing, written by Peabody Award nominee and Emmy Award nominee Gary Lennon Orange Is The New Black, for a Broadway run in 2015. While there's still no sign of Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" at either Venice, Toronto or New York (perhaps it'll pop up in Telluride?), the anticipation for the film still remains very high. Not only does it feature a ridiculous cast (Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and more), it also has a script from one of America's literary titans, Cormac McCarthy. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Robert Duvall revealed at last Friday’s Critic Choice Movie Awards that he's eying Billy Bob Thornton’s “Jayne Mansfield’s Car," his next directorial effort. Following its season premiere on Wednesday, October 1, the forthcoming episode of "Private Practice" has been made available. Presenting a sneak preview to the second episode of the new season, the snippet displays the time when this team of private doctors are faced with intricate choice between what's best for the practice or what's best for the patient.

To be aired October 8 at 9 P.M. on ABC, the episode titled "Equal and Opposite" will tell the story when Addison and Sam form a hostile takeover to bring the practice out of bankruptcy while all of the doctors seeks for additional clients and new income streams. Amidst the hectic situation, Violet's friendship with Cooper crumbles even more, putting it on the brink of extinction. A scene from the new season of "Private Practice" has been given. The drama series focusing on one of "Grey's Anatomy" alumni, Dr. Addison Montgomery, will open its second season with an episode called "A Family Thing" on Wednesday, October 1 on ABC.

The clip is taken from the part where Addison has a conversation with her love interest, Dr. Pete Wilder during a coffee break. The episode will also tell on how Addison is tested in her friendship to Naomi who conceals the practice's financial problems. Meanwhile, Violet wonders what secret Cooper is keeping from her, while Cooper himself has to decide whether or not to reveal a medical secret to a patient.

Starring Kate Walsh, Tim Daly and Audra McDonald among others, the news season of "Private Practice" will run for at least 24 episodes.

Variety reports that Epperson will be adapting from his own novel and Gone Baby Gone producer Sean Bailey has selected Casey Affleck for a lead role that will ask for either a lot of Brylcreem or a top hat. Set in the 1930s Los Angeles and centers on an amnesiac (Affleck) who finds himself working for a mobster -- a sadistic killer given the nickname "the Kind One" -- and falling in love with the thug's girlfriend.
