The Mercedes dealership where Whoopi Goldberg bought her Mercedes was located on the corner of 56th Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1955, it was destroyed in early 2013 after Mercedes closed that location.
Actors Tim Daly, Zeljko Ivanek, and Bebe Neuwirth would all go on to appear together in Madam Secretary (2014) 18 years after co-starring in this movie.
