Let's face it, this is one of the most famous B-movies ever because of a few nude scenes, not because of a terrific plot. Yes, Alyssa Milano looks great, but that doesn't mean that this was a good movie. Really, the film is watchable at best, and the writers clearly were more concerned with getting Alyssa naked than making an interesting story about vampires. I can't call it a disappointment, since I got what I expected, but it's nothing but a forgettable film that just happens to have some legendary soft-porn scenes.
The story, if one is to be found, is about a young college girl about to experience life for the first time. Turns out that she just may be the reincarnated wife of a late Count who never could cope with her death. Seems he returned home from battle one fine day only to find his beloved wife had killed herself on the false rumors of his death. Well, same Count becomes a vampire through some convenient miracle (because it was needed to have a shred of a plot) and then begins to pursue and court her in modern day. The rest is her inner struggle (alright, that's a stretch) between life, ghostly erotic dreams, voices, seduction, school, being away from home, falling in love, and clove cigarettes.
This movie started out with a really good and captivating plot; Alyssa Milano naked, involved in multiple erotic lesbian scenes. The only problem is that the producers tried to fill in the empty spaces of the movie with... a movie. Why didn't Ms Milano just film a short segment for Playboy or Spice and just be done with it?
Alright, seriously though... if you're interested in partially naked women kissing other partially naked women then this movie is for you. If you are interested in any other form of entertainment then I would skip this movie. The initial lesbian scene with Ms Milano and Charlotte Lewis does actually
come off as a good first time, nervous lesbian encounter for a young college women. (Not to mention the scene first introduced me to clove cigarettes)
All in all this movie is a shame; Ms Milano has undoubtedly proved herself a more then so-so actress. (I loved her in The Canterville Ghost). As for others, Jennifer Tilly does actually act nicely in my opinion. This isn't saying much but I do always enjoy watching Ms Tilly enjoy herself enjoying others in movies.

The seventeen year-old Charlotte (Alyssa Milano) is a virgin college student from a Catholic high-school and girlfriend of her college mate Chris (Harrison Pruett). Near to the eve of her eighteenth birthday, a vampire (Martin Kemp) that was her lover in a past life tries to seduce her to regain his human life. However Charlotte is in love with Chris and the vampire sends the sexy Marika (Jennifer Tilly) to seduce him. Meanwhile Charlotte is also sexually tempted by the lesbian Sarah (Charlotte Lewis).
"Embrace of the Vampire" is an erotic and sexy tale that uses the attractive figure of the vampire to expose the naked body and breasts of Alyssa Milano. The story can be written in half a page and is basically a storyline entwined with scenes of sex. The most incredible is that there is a remake of this movie. My vote is five.
Title (Brazil): "A Sedução do Mal - Os Diários de Nosferatu" ("The Seduction of Evil - The Nosferatu's Diaries")
Note: On 11 July 2022, I saw this film again.

Alyssa Milano's breasts give a terrific performance here. They play, they dance, they utter soliloquies, they defy gravity (actually not really), and they photograph well.
The dominant presence of Milano's breasts prevent the vampire story from taking root. But all is well, for we need nothing more than the incredible anticipation of seeing the breasts in another well lit shot.
Life is indeed complete because director Goursaud has committed Alyssa's ample amples to the screen in such worthy style. Salancha senorita Anne, and the sangria's on me....

Charlotte Wells (Alyssa Milano) is a good girl. She's a virgin college student. She is haunted by erotic dreams of being taken by a vampire. The vampire is centuries old and Charlotte has the soul of his lost love. He needs to reunite with her soul or else it will be eternal sleep in 3 days' time. Charlotte sleepwalks and is found by boyfriend Chris. Her friend Nicole tries to set her up on a fling and everybody is killed by the vampire. She is befriended by Sarah who talks her into an erotic photograph session.
This is noteworthy for one reason and one reason only. Alyssa Milano from 'Who's the Boss?' tried to break out of her former child star status. For the most part, she succeed into blowing it wide open. That photographing session with Charlotte Lewis is unforgettable and that white shirt is always ready to pop open. The story is thin and weak. Other than Alyssa getting naked, this movie has nothing to offer.

Great to see Alyssa naked, (for the guys) but Bad in every other respect. I can't believe that the director wasn't sued for intellectual property theft, as she edited Bram stoker's dracula a couple years earlier, and let's just say "borrowed" dialogue and shots and camera techniques. A sorry pitiful waste of time, rent this dreck if you're in need of a non-prescription sleep aid. 2/10 ( I save 1's for total losses)
Embrace of The Vampire stars Allysa Milano, who grew from a cute little girl on "Who's The Boss?" into a stunning young woman with apparently surgically enhanced boobs. She is sexy and always fun to watch whether she's in something good (Charmed) or not so good (Hugo Pool). This movie falls somewhere in the middle. It's not great, but still entertaining.
Martin Kemp, former pop star, has built a respectable acting career with his role in The Krays and several British TV shows. He plays a cursed vampire who must seduce an 18 year-old virgin or he will die. Milano is the virgin, whose boyfriend is pressuring for sex. Charlotte Lewis and Jennifer Tilly, the most talented performers in this film, are the ones with the smallest roles.
This is one of the better bad movies I've seen. If you've ever wanted to see Allysa's boobs and butt, you will love this movie. She would be worth watching even if she'd kept her clothes on.

Embrace of the Vampire (1994) is the much bally-hooed "cult" film (and I use the term for this movie very loosely) that stars former T.V. star Alyssa Milano and an aged Charlotte Lewis. I don't know why people love this movie. The only "big" thing about this movie are the size of Miss Milano's bosoms. There are much better erotic vampire movies than this slick trash. The storyline is weak, the acting is terrible and the direction is lackluster. Dude even the femme on femme scene is boring. Without the infamous nude scenes, you're left with a lame and toothless vampire flick.
Don't waste your time on this "movie". If you want to see an erotic movie with vampire overtones go get a Seduction Cinema Entertainment video. For Alyssa Milano fans only. Others will be very disappointed by the results because the hype ain't all that.
Bad movie that's the least bit entertaining.

This is a B-Movie about some vampires wanting to bring the "chase" college coed Alyssa Milano into their fold. Being a heterosexual male with a normal dose of hormones, I found this movie very interesting.
Alyssa manages to do what few actresses have accomplished--Played the sex pot and the innocent at the same time. We are given the impression that although she gets naked enough and has sex a lot, that somehow it is not really her fault, although most of the time she seems eager or curious--up to a point.
The photography also manages to also capture kinkyness, sleaze, and horror all at the same time.
It is the story of "O" for the hOrror set. Although technically not as skilled as Copolla's Dracula, it is a lot more sensual and scary.

Martin Kemp is probably best known, acting wise, for his role in gangster flick The Krays, and British soap opera Eastenders, and that is a fact that he should be thankful for; as no one would like to be remembered for a film like this. Embrace of the Vampire is a non-event of massive proportions, as the unoriginal premise is never capitalised upon, and it's all bolstered by a host of inept performances. Martin Kemp is particularly awful as 'The Vampire'. He tries and tries to look sexy and foreboding, but succeeds only in looking silly as his accent is appalling and he's about as sexy as Pat Butcher and Pauline Fowler in a wet T-Shirt competition. The film takes obvious influence from Dracula, and follows Kemp's vampire as we see him become the undead and try desperately to find the woman he loved while he was human. Around the same time, Catholic girl Charlotte begins having dreams of the vampire, and it's not long before he's trying to will her to him in order for the pair to spend their eternal lives together.
The film is famous mostly for its female lead and her lovely breasts. Alyssa Milano is Embrace of the Vampire's only positive element, and were it not for her; this film would really be the pits. I'm sure Milano will be most people's reason for watching - me included - and it's definitely a good thing that the film puts a lot of its focus on sex. The sex scenes are soft-core at best, and unfortunately they're not very erotic. It is a shame that Martin Kemp was cast in the lead as had a better actor have taken his place, the film could have been passable...the man really doesn't know how to play an enticing role. There's a few scenes of gore, but the film is never very nasty and while some of them are well shot, they're again poorly acted and not really worth seeing. The plot is very thinly spread, and the film definitely needed a lot more 'bite'. It all boils down to an ending typical of the rest of the film, as rather than coming to a head in an exciting and interesting way; it just peters out. Overall, Embrace of the Vampire is merely a kick in the teeth and definitely doesn't come recommended.

This movie is pretty lame, honestly. If you're a fan of Alyssa Milano, the rather constant nudity will be a big plus, but there's nothing else to recommend it. It's not creepy. It's not tense. The plot is confused and wandering. There's no air of suspense. The writing is awful.
Vamp movies for some reason seem to have erotic tinges. That's fine. But it can't be the whole purpose of the movie. Of course, if all you want to do is ogle Alyssa, that's fine. Then it's a great movie. But for no other purpose.

The best thing about this movie is that Alyssa Milano is seen in the nude...there is no plot, no story, horrid acting, stupid dialogue and hardly any vampiric action. Not worth watching, even if you're fast forwarding through it to the "good" parts.
2 out of 10, for Alyssa Milano's lack of clothing.

Vampires may be the living dead, but if you can sit through this one without taking at least three or four breaks you're not living dead, you're brain dead. The theme is far from new: age old vampire seeks his reincarnated virgin. How he becomes a vampire in the first place is silly, then we jump forward a couple of hundred years or so, and we are on a college campus where leading man and bad guy Martin Kemp is pursuing the virginal Alyssa Milano.
Kemp is still best known for being one quarter of new romantics Spandau Ballet. He is also not a bad actor, but even Tom Hanks, Marlon Brando, Laurence Olivier and Al Pacino melded together couldn't pull this one off.
Rubbish plot and script aside, this is a film that starts off with some pretence to Gothic horror, then decides it wants to become lesbian porn, then simply porn, and finally degenerates into farce as the campus virgin smokes her first cigarette, when suddenly she is not so sweet and pure. There is nothing wrong with using dream or nightmare sequences in a film, but there are ways to indicate this. If a character who has been murdered appears in a later scene, is this person now a vampire, or did the dastardly deed take place only in the damsel's head? That is assuming she was even in that scene. Confused? Who wouldn't be!
This has been called a B Movie; in truth there are not enough letters in even the Tamil alphabet to rate this garbage, and it is not so much the embrace of the vampire as his kiss of death.

This has got to be the worst movie EVER !!! I bought it based on Pheobe from Charmed and of course Martin Kemp is a very good actor. Sadly this film and the actors are just sooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD ! I wouldn't watch it again if someone paid me to. I advise you NOT to watch it, as you will never get that time back. It was really really bad (I said that already didn't I?) The plot is terrible, the acting is awful, the music is very bad and the whole film is just a big fat waste of time. The basic plot is this vampire can only live if he seduces the last virgin something or other.....see it was so boring, I have forgotten already! Alyssa & Martin's acting is so wooden & corny and Alyssa's boobs are also really fake :o) And believe me you see them enough. Its almost like they tried to fill the time with sex because the story couldn't sustain itself. Oh this bit won't work, lets show her naked...sort of thing. Anyway, do NOT watch this movie, as it really really is THAT bad! To all Charmed fans I beg you not to buy/rent it, because 1) its a waste of your hard earned money and 2) it will probably put you off Charmed forever!! I'm sorry I don't have anything good to say, I really do, as I had high expectations for this movie.
I place this film along side "Showgirls" as a truly indispensable guilty pleasure, this film is an absolute riot, you just can't keep a straight face. If you're looking for a plot, good acting, thrilling action sequences, characters that you can care about, a good script, or a memorable movie experience, then you're looking at the wrong movie. However, if you're looking for a soft-core porn movie starring Alyssa Milano's bare breasts, you're looking at the right movie.
Alyssa Milano gets naked. You see her nipples with amazing frequency. She lets guys touch her in dream sequences. She lets a female photographer touch her, remove most of her clothing, and then kiss her. But beware, Lesbian Sex Scene seekers - Alyssa does not go further than kissing. Yes, that's right - she loses her nerve and runs out of the room. Taking the time to get dressed again, unfortunately. So, if you're a fan of Alyssa Milano's breasts, then by all means rent this movie!
Overall rating: 6 out of 10.

Whoo wee. What a stinkbomb of a film. As the gentle reader has no doubt gathered from other reviews, this is a dirt-cheap movie with a single virtue: Alissa Milano getting buck nekkid and making out with everybody in sight.
The plot: titular vampire must "do the wild thing" with Alissa, or die in three days. She is his reincarnated love from before he was a vampire. For some reason, he is going to rest in peace unless he can get jiggy with her pronto. There are rules: she must be willing. There is also a catch: Alissa is an ultra-prudish virgin college student who is in love with her boyfriend. So, this sleazy vampire dude sets out to convince both Alissa and her boyfriend that they need to break up and start hooking up with random people. He casts some kind of spell on Alissa that makes her libido go ape (kind of like the alien cockroach in _The Outer Limits_ episode "Caught in the Act" made a virgin Alissa Milano become a cosmic nymphomaniac -- I wonder if that is where the script writer got the idea).
So, the film is Alissa getting naked, acting sexy, making out with boys and girls, interspersed with this "playa" vampire trying to seduce her and her boyfriend. Once in a while the vampire kills somebody, for no readily apparent reason. Well, its a vampire movie. Even though the vampire is out for tail instead of out for blood in this film, I guess people have to die.
This movie is good "MSFT2K" material. Rent it and laugh at it. I know, there are a lot of very bad horror movies one can use for that purpose... but hey, how many feature Alissa Milano stripping buck nekked?

Yes Allysa takes her clothes off and yes thats why i was curious of the film but half naked or not the film itself is pretty darn good. Not your average main stream 'we have Tom Cruise-so-it-must-be-a-winner' film, it makes the most of a tight budget and little special effects to create quite an atmospheric and rather erotic Vampire tale.
Embrace of a Vampire has great art direction and doesn't try to compete with movies of the calibre of Bram Stokers Dracula but maintaining its own little individual quirks and ideas. Anne Goursard (who was co-editor coincidently of the fore-mentioned film)takes a directors seat and in it manages to retain the same creditability. Watch it before you make up your mind.

I remember it perfectly, (the first time I saw her) she was wearing a red baseball hat backwards, and she had a big black eye. I don't remember exactly how she got it but I never felt the same way again. She was Alyssa Milano, standing next to Tony Danza on the very first episode of "Who's The Boss". Ever since that day I watch for anything with her in it. And this movie "Embrace of the Vampire" is one of my favorites.
I have to admit though after I've only watched this movie from beginning to end once. All the rest of the times I used the fast forward button to bring me to a few very important parts of this movie. I give this movie a HUGE 7 OUT OF 10

According to IMDb's summary, Embrace of the Vampire is about an 18-year-old college freshman (Alyssa Milano) who is seduced by a handsome vampire lover (Martin Kemp) who introduces her to a dark world of carnal desires.
WRONG!
To cut a long story short, it's about getting its 22-year-old star Alyssa Milano to show her tits as often as possible! The weak, romantic (or should that be 'new romantic'?) Gothic horror plot merely serves as an excuse for the actress to bare her breasts (with the occasional shot of her ass). Not that I'm complaining of course—I just would have preferred a stronger story to go with the copious T&A from young Alyssa.
In addition to Milano's nudity, male viewers are also treated to Charlotte Lewis as a bisexual photographer who indulges in a spot of lesbian action with Alyssa; we also get a brief but welcome turn from Jennifer Tilly as a bar room slut, the actress offering no nudity but plenty of raunch as always. Martin Kemp and Harold Pruett are on hand for the ladies in the audience, the Spandau Ballet star playing the sappiest bloodsucker imaginable (he makes the sparkly vampires from Twilight seem positively terrifying by comparison), with Pruett his young love rival.
Flat direction, zero gore, a hilarious turn from Kemp (he's comedy gold, that much is true!), risible dialogue, and Alyssa's tits. 4/10.

Okay I am a huge vampire film fan. I saw this movie and I laughed! Alyssa Milano plays Charlotte, a young virgin fresh out of a convent and entering college. She has a handsome and sweet boyfriend named Chris who is willing to wait till she is ready but even he has his sexual frustrations. Charlotte becomes the target and object of a nameless Vampire's desires (played by The Krays Martin Kemp). The Vampire is dying or in threat of being put in a deep sleep unless he takes the blood of a virgin, but not just any virgin: the reincarnation of the virgin woman he once loved before he became a vampire. The idea is for the Vampire to seduce Charlotte and "put doupt in her heart" against her faithful but sexually frustrated Chris so that she will willingly surrenders herself to the Vampire. The Vampire does this through dreams and hypno spells and he also puts a voodoo out on Chris who also dreams that tell him that Charlotte is in danger. Then the film follows a series of pseudo-sensual, soft porn seduction scenes and campy horror scenes. The film is classic Alyssa Milano: she is incredible to look at! She is sensual and brave enough to bare her breasts before the camera on more than one scene. I hated at how over exaggerated and poorly written this film was. The Vampire seduction scenes are good, but after awhile he gets so boring and so repetitive. So if you like soft-core porn, vampire, horror, B- films: this is the movie for you otherwise this is a comedy!
