A meaningful HK comedy!

This is a meaningful family comedy from Hong Kong that tells four generations of a well-to- do but dysfunctional family who must deal and resolve their issues in time for Chinese New Year.

This film has an all-star cast including Raymond Wong, Tony Leung, Teresa Mo, Carol Cheng, Anita Yuen, Leslie Cheung, Cho Tat Wah and Kwam Tak Hing. In addition to the humor and drama, this story tastefully references and spoofs Hollywood movies like Jurassic Park, Mrs. Doubtfire and Fantasia.

There is some neat stuff here. The plot drags a little towards the middle but there are some intriguing and tear-jerking moments to make this a pleasant film.

Overall, a recommended family comedy.
