- An alternate take is used for the USA TV version: When Phil Hartman's character is telling his story in the jail, he refers to the prisoner's victim as a "girlfriend" instead of the more profane "bitch" used in all other versions.
- In the original version, Mike Myers is wearing a short green towel (covering from waist to mid-thigh) that falls of when he hugs Ralph, exposing his bum. In the TV version, the shot where the towel drops uses an alternate take shot specifically for TV and Airline release. In all other shots the towel remains short.
- The UK cinema release, rated "12", was cut by 57 seconds, and removed the entire scene of Phil Hartman's guard telling his lengthy and graphic anecdote. All other releases are uncut and rated "15".
