Jane Krakowski has found her next TV series, and it’s another one of those sitcoms about a fallen career woman. Krakowski has joined the pilot Dead Boss, a remake of a BBC series (the original featured Jennifer Saunders as a prison warden). The series follows an overachieving career woman who is wrongly accused of her boss’s murder. At first she’s certain the courts will uncover the truth of her innocence, but then she finds herself in prison.

Comic-Con is releasing its daily schedules over this long holiday weekend and the schedule for Saturday, July 20 has just come out. The day features panels on TV favorites like How I Met Your Mother (at the Con for the first time!), True Blood, and The Vampire Diaries as well as upcoming shows like Dracula and The Originals, and much more. Many of the major film panels are Saturday, including a look at the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the Marvel panel, which will feature the Thor and Captain America sequels, and WB and Legendary’s panel featuring Godzilla, and Gravity.

Last night's  premiere of ABC's newest drama Switched At Birth broke the network's ratings records for a series debut in total viewers and all key demos. It drew 3.3 million viewers and 1.0 million/1.5 rating in adults 18-34 at 9 Pm. (The show, about two teen girls who were accidentally switched at birth, also posted new premiere records in women 18-34, adults and women 18-49). Switched At Birth outpaced ABC Family's previous record holders, the debuts of The Secret Life of the American Teenager in total viewers (2.8 million) and Pretty Little Liars in adults 18-34 (837,000) and women 18-34. Having just picked up four new scripted series, ABC Family is heading into the summer with its largest-ever slate of originals. With seven scripted series on tap -- four new (dramas Switched at Birth, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, The Lying Game and comedy The Great State of Georgia) and three returning (dramas The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pretty Little Liars and comedy Melissa & Joey) --  ABC Family is opening up a third night of original programming this summer on Wednesday. Brooke Bowman has been promoted to Svp original programming and development at ABC Family. Bowman will oversee creative and production on the network’s original series and movies, reporting to Evp Kate Juergens. Bowman has been with the network since 2004, most recently serving as VP original programming & development. She is the programming executive on the network's flagship series The Secret Life of the American Teenager and also oversees series Make It or Break It, Greek, and the upcoming Switched at Birth.

In October of 2010, we heard that ABC Family was developing a Cloak and Dagger show for the 2011-2012 season. We heard that since Disney owns Marvel Entertainment and ABC, that it was going to be easier for Marvel characters to get their own series on ABC channels. ABC Family has been shooting pilots and picking pilots to become series lately. According to Deadline, "ABC Family is making its most aggressive expansion into original programming to date". Cloak and Dagger has not been one of them. Maybe in a future season Cloak and Dagger could get its own series on ABC Family, but for now the channel isn't going with it.
