Storyline
Featured review
The less actors talk in Austrian films the more convincing they are. Austrian film actors usually have trouble with lines in screenplays.
In this charming Helmut Berger film, it's the images that count. The story is dark, laconic and funny and uses only as many words as necessary to understand it. If longer than 90 minutes, it would probably begin to start boring but as it is rather short, the long silent periods do not bother.
Not a masterpiece but one of those macabre stories we need from time to time. And it presents us with a rather scary view of Vienna.
