Differently than in Fantozzi va in pensione (1988), the movie is again organized in interconnected episodes as it was in the previous movies of the series.
The company "Megaditta" is here set again in two different locations, like in Fantozzi subisce ancora (1983): in this case, the exteriors belong to department store Cinecittà 2, the interiors to the Auditorium Cavour, both in Rome. Only manager appearing is Duke-Count Matteo Maria Barambani, played by Paul Müller like in Fantozzi va in pensione (1988) (although in that case the character's first name was Francesco Maria). Müller had already played manager Viscount Cobram in Fantozzi contro tutti (1983).
