Okay romantic vignettes

My review was written in June 1989 after watching the show on Vestron video cassette.

Originally released three years back, "Penthouse Love Stories" is one of the better softcore romantic tapes on the market in the voyeur's "fantasy" format.

Best segment is "Loveboat", spotlighting statuesque Julia Parton in a hammock below deck, sweating and checking herself out while three other girls admire the view.

Attractively lensed by Ed Holzman, tape approaches hardcore sex in "Service Station", a romantic tryst of late porn star Shauna Grant with a gas jockey. Film actresses Monique Gabrielle and Michelle Bauer are showcased to good effect in several segments.

Program is filled out with boring interviews with Xaviera Hollander and a phony imitation of Manhattan's Ugly George as a guy on Santa Monica Beach who kills ten minutes by getting a blonde girl to strip in public.
