There is no official VHS, DVD, or Blu-Ray release of the film in the U.S.
Despite taking place in Colorado all shots were filmed in Italy.
In 2002 Luisa Maneri recalled how she was chosen for the role of Carol: "After the audition, the producers and Deodato asked me if I wanted to do the film. They had already rejected two actresses for that part. Because I knew Deodato by reputation and knew he did 'terrible' things, I said, 'I'll do it...'Then they said, read the script, you have to tell us right away if you accept, because the movie starts on Monday. So I sat there and read.... There was this scene where I was caught by the killer in the shower, at which point I ran away until the end of the movie. I said, 'Excuse me, but this is naked for the whole movie !' and they 'No, no, then she gets dressed again'... So I told them yes...."
