Aphrodite

Ar the same time Ms Kaprisky was leaving Dickie Gere, breathless, this very erotic,sleeper, using some beautiful Greece backdrops was made. I remember watching this film over 30 years ago, and fell asleep. I just gave it another day, or night I should say, in court. For lovers of sex and eroticism, this one, does take us to new heights. Kaprisky, who isn't bad an actress is dubbed, and we see more of her, o'natural, in here, and it's an enticing and devouring site. The film took on a different kind of story I liked, where to the wishes of our kinky handsome captain, when reaching port, each will play out a role, to a play on Aphrodite. Graciously viewing Kaprisky, in the title role, is something of an APHRO-DIATIAC, but some of the scenes are sleepers. It very much has the same ambience as the Brad Davis film, Querelle, made in the same year. You won't remember this trip to erotica for long, as it's not the sort of film, which will leave a lasting impression, despite it's overpraised message from the filmmakers, pre endng credits. But the film is definitely, an eye ogling, saucy view.
