There is ambiguity on whether the characters of Stela and Fermín are the same ones from Las eróticas vacaciones de Stela (1978). They are played by the same actors (Azucena Hernández and Fernando Martín, respectively) and there are vague references to their past stories that seem to fit the former movie, such as Fermín being an ex-seminarian and Stela having lost her virginity during a holiday, but at the same time their personalities and behavior are vastly different, and even contradictory with the 1978 film. Carla Celis is also in both movies, but playing a clearly different character in each, and they also share the same writer, Eligio Herrero, executive producer, Ángel Huete, and several crew members, but otherwise both stories are totally unrelated.
