Has two different existing English-translated versions. On DVD, both are only available for purchase online in bootleg-copy formats, as there was never an official American DVD release for either. On VHS, one of the English-translated versions was released in America officially, but still has a reputation for being very hard to find, at least in its original form (not a bootleg copy.)
This is the first animated feature film to be distributed by The Samuel Goldwyn Company, and made in Japan by Toei Animation.
Available in two English language dubs. The original (and more common on home media during the 80s) English version was produced by Frontier Enterprises and featured regular voice actors. The second English version by Sync, Ltd. (and more hard to find) was recorded by Golden Sync Studios and used the celebrity Hollywood voice actors to re-dub the film. This version was released in 1990 by The Samuel Goldwyn Company and became the first animated film to be distributed by the company.
