This is a well-intentated tale of a Spanish immigrant called Ceferino : Alfredo Landa wishes to go Mexico , as he leaves his Asturian natal village : Pola de Simado , abandoning his girlfriend: Amel Amor , sister : Mirta Miller, parents and other friends . At the beginning , he works at his uncle's grocery . There , he is nicknamed as a "Guachupin" , then happen some misfortunes , he is detained , to get money he sells books , and subsequetly get successes , as he married a wealthy heiress and even won a lottery ticket and created a publishing factory .Along the way , Ceferino has a big time , become a rich Indiano he goes back Spain . Finally , he along with his Mexican wife and an old friend return Spain , they arrive in Madrid , Toledo , Sevilla , Cordoba and to his beloved Asturias .
This comedy deals with Ceferino , Alfredo Landa , an Asturian countryman who emigrates to Mexico to get fame and fortune . Dealing with his distresses , misfortunes , and life hardship as well as some successes in Mexico .The movie gives an enjoyable description from Mexico and Spain life , including songs and dances : Rancheras , Asturian Folklore , Flamenco , traditional dances , popular songs : Asturias Patria Querida , Jalisco...It stars the always great Alfredo Landa . Alfredo was one of the best and more popular Spanish actors and creator a cinematic subgenre : Landismo. His long career is formed by 110 films for forty years .
