A lot movie old timers got into this Disney made for television feature The Sky's
The Limit. That was one thing the Magic Kingdom was good for, giving employment
to familiar faces of the silver screen.
Young Ike Eisenmann is off from prep school for the summer and he's going to visit his
grandfather Pat O'Brien for the first time. O'Brien is a farmer who lives with his one hand
Lloyd Nolan.
But they really bond when the kid finds an old World War 1 era biplane in the barn. Turns out both O'Brien and Nolan are a pair of aviation pioneers. And
he and his school friends love building model airplanes. Built a few myself when I was
Eisenmann's age.
Seeing a lot of these movie old timers is the best thing at least for me that The Sky's The Limit has going for it. The second is the great chemistry that O'Brien and Nolan had with Eisenmann.
Good one from the Magic Kingdom.
