Guild publishes list less than one week into strike.

SAG-AFTRA on Tuesday published its first list of independent films which have signed an interim agreement allowing production to resume and it includes several titles from A24 and Lionsgate.

Among the 39-strong roster is A24’s Mother Mary, which sees David Lowery direct Anne Hathaway and Hunter Schafer in the tale of the relationship between a fictional musician and a fashion designer.

A24 also has the Paul Rudd and Jenny Ortega project Death Of A Unicorn scheduled to shoot in Hungary.

Lionsgate titles are the thriller Flight Risk, which sees Mel Gibson direct Mark Wahlberg,...

Bleecker Street will distribute James Gray’s Charlie Hunnam starrer in North American theatres.

The development follows Amazon Studios’ acquisition last week of North American rights. CAA brokered that deal.

It is understood Bleecker Street will release The Lost City Of Z in spring 2017.

In March 2015 Bleecker Street signed a deal for Amazon’s Prime Instant Video to be its exclusive subscription platform for its theatrical releases.

Sierra Affinity handles international sales on Gray’s long-gestating adventure about a British explorer who went missing on a 1925 expedition into the Brazilian rain forest.

The film will receive its world premiere when it closes the New York Film Festival.

Brad Pitt and his Plan B partners Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produced with Dale Johnson and Anthony Katagas.

Marc Butan serves as executive producer with Julie B. May and Glenn Murray. Mica Entertainment financed production.

James Gray’s adventure starring Charlie Hunnam has found its Us home after the streaming giant acquired North American rights.

CAA brokered the deal with Amazon Studios and Sierra/Affinity handles international sales.

The Lost City Of Z will get its world premiere later this year as the closing night selection of the New York Film Festival.

The story centres on Lieutenant Colonel Percival Fawcett, a British archaeologist and explorer who went missing on a 1925 expedition into the Brazilian rain forest.

The project has been in the works for a long time. Originally Brad Pitt was earmarked for the lead role, before he stepped back to produce.

Joining Pitt on the roster are his Plan B associates Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, Dale Johnson and Anthony Katagas.

Marc Butan serves as executive producer with Julie B. May and Glenn Murray.

Mica Entertainment financed The Lost City Of Z after Gray took back the rights from Paramount.

James Gray’s long-gestating adventure has commenced shooting in Belfast and stars Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland.

Mica Entertainment finances Lost City Of Z, while Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produce via Plan B alongside Anthony Katagas and Dale Johnson.

The film, based on David Grann’s novel about an explorer who went missing in the Brazilian Amazon in the 1920s, is expected to shoot for five weeks in Belfast before relocating to Colombia throughout September and October.

The project has circled for years. Lotus Entertainment’s previous incarnation Inferno Entertainment introduced it to the market in Cannes in 2010, when Pitt was lined up to star.

The British star will play Col Percival Fawcett opposite Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson in James Gray’s adventure that Sierra/Affinity represents at the Efm.

Mica Entertainment will finance the adaptation of David Grann’s bestseller about a British colonial who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon. CAA represents Us rights.

Brad Pitt, who was once lined up to play the lead when the long-gestating project was set up at the now defunct Inferno Entertainment, will produce with Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner via Plan B Entertainment alongside Dale Johnson and Anthony Katagas.

Production on The Lost City Of Z is scheduled to commence this summer. Marc Butan will serve as executive producer with Mica’s Julie B May and Glenn Murray.

Hunnam is in production on Warner Bros’ Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur for Guy Ritchie, in which he plays the king.

You would think a few cheapie knock-offs or maybe a historical account of the tragedy of the Donner Party in the late 1800s, would fill up our video stores, but I personally can’t recall one. Donner Pass might fit the bill. The film is getting some rave reviews from people like the screenwriter of Captain America: The First Avenger.

Here’s the plot: “In 1846 a party of settlers became snowbound in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and had to resort to cannibalism to survive. Some 150 years later a group of teens on a ski trip discover that the curse of the Donner Party still haunts those mountains when members of their group start turning up not only dead, but half-eaten. Nothing – and no one – is what it seems in this provocative dark thriller. And history doesn’t always stay in the past.”
