This movie was influenced by Nikolai Gogol's "The Government Inspector".
There are at least two versions of this movie. One of them has several deleted scenes and was heavily censored by the State. One of the deleted scenes portraits the killing of a farmer by a police officer when he was running away and shot in the back.
